A pizza at the Istanbul Airport costs 530 TL (30 USD) and a coke costs 63 TL (approx. 4 USD)

Food and beverage prices have sky-rocketed at Istanbul Airport, the tender of which was awarded to Cengiz, Kolin, Limak and Mapa. It is observed that a pizza is sold for 530 TL (over 30 USD) and a coke is sold for 63 TL (curreny rate at the time => 1USD = 16.75 TL)

Images of food and beverage prices shared from Istanbul Airport, which cost 10.2 billion euros and promoted by the AKP with big ad campaigns, are on the agenda.

COLA SOLD FOR 63 TL AND WATER SOLD FOR 31 TL

In the images shared by a social media user, it was seen that half a liter of pet water was sold for 31, cola was sold for 63, sandwich was sold for 110 and oversized pizza was sold for 530 TL.

According to the SOZCU newspaper, even passengers living abroad said the prices were high. On the other hand, the operators stated that prices rose due to euro-based rents.
