The Office of Soil Crops (TMO) has announced that it has opened 1 million 220 thousand tons of cereals for sale for the month of January 2022. In order to regulate the market, the TMO has increased the price of wheat bread by 23 percent and the price of barley by 24 percent.

The Office of Soil Crops (TMO) reported that grain and pulses sales will also resume in January 2022. In January, it was stated that barley will be sold for 2,550 pounds, bread wheat for 3,225–3,275 pounds, durum wheat for 3,900-3,950 pounds, corn for 2,950 pounds.

The office said in a statement “In order to alleviate the negative impact of rising raw material prices on the costs of our meat, milk and feed producers, sales were started within the scope of the Feed Regulation Study, and as of September, bread wheat sales for the flour sector were started within the scope of the Flour Regulation Study.”
