A survey shows Turkey is cheapest country in Europe for British holiday makers

Turkey stands out as the cheapest country when choosing countries to go to for holidays after the UK published a list of countries that would not require quarantine its citizens going abroad to be quarantined on their return to the country.

Turkey ranks first with 57.37 sterling pounds in the traditional chart organized by the British Postal Service showing the price comparison among countries to holiday in

The report was based on Post Office data covering a basket of products and services that a person from the UK will use in the country of their destination, in pounds.

Based on this basket while a family would pay 57.37 pounds for “one cup of coffee, one bottle of local beer, one coca cola, 1.5 liters of water, one ice cream, one beach shovel and bucket for children’s play, including drinks, dinner for a family of 4 people and lunch for a family of 4” in Marmaris, Turkey, the same basket would cost 102.61 pounds in Costa del Sol, in Spain.

The same basket was calculated to cost 167.39 pounds in Nice, France.
