Accident in Antalya: Tour Bus Driver dead, 20 Tourists Injured

A tragic accident occurred in Antalya’s Manavgat district this morning. The accident left the minibus wrecked, and 20 tourists injured.

The tour minibus, driven by Şavki Çoban, was transporting Russian and Belarusian tourists from hotels in Alanya to Antalya Airport. At around 4:00 AM, the minibus lost control and crashed into barriers and railings at the Sorgun Otogar overpass on the Alanya-Antalya highway, Manavgat ring road.

The accident left the minibus wrecked, and 20 tourists—16 from Russia and 4 from Belarus—were injured. The injured tourists were taken to hospitals in Manavgat after initial interventions.

Şavki Çoban, who was trapped in the vehicle, was extricated by the fire department. Despite the efforts of doctors at a private hospital, Çoban could not be saved.

An investigation into the accident has been launched.
