Trump will sell U.S. citizenship for $5 million

Donald Trump announced that his administration would sell “Golden Cards” to foreign investors who create jobs in the country. These cards, priced at $5 million, will grant holders U.S. permanent residency (Green Card) and offer a pathway to citizenship.
In a statement following the signing of presidential executive orders in the Oval Office, Trump explained, “We are setting the price of this card at around $5 million, which will provide Green Card privileges and also a transition to citizenship.”
Wealthy individuals will purchase these cards to move to the U.S., where they are expected to spend large amounts of money, pay high taxes, and create numerous jobs. Trump believes the program will be highly successful and indicated that more details will be released in the coming two weeks.
“If we sell 1 million or more of these cards, we could generate $5 trillion. If we sell 10 million cards, that’s $50 trillion. We have a $35 trillion debt, so this would be very helpful,” Trump added.
In response to questions about who will be eligible for these cards, Trump stated that the individuals would be carefully vetted, with approval varying depending on the situation. When asked if Russian oligarchs could buy these Golden Cards, he replied, “Yes, probably. I know some Russian oligarchs, they’re very good people.”
