Presidential spokesman Ibrahim KALIN says timetable for flights from Russia set

IBRAHIM KALIN PRESIDENTIAL SPOKESMAN RUSSIA FLIGHTS

Presidential Spokesman Ibrahim KALIN has said that an agreement has been reached on the steps to be taken and the acceleration of the process related to the arrival of the Russian vaccine in Turkey and the start of flights from Russia. KALIN also said a timetable had been determined on this issue.

KALIN made the remarks at Vnukovo Airport after a meeting with his interlocutors in Moscow, the Russian capital, where he arrived with culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.

Recalling that Turkey had a very comprehensive network of relations with Russia, Kalin noted that they had thoroughly discussed bilateral relations and regional issues during their talks.

“WE HAVE AGREED ON THE STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN RELATION TO THE START OF FLIGHTS”

KALIN said they had realized talks to cover a broad range including trade relations, tourism, energy business association from Karabakh, Libya and Syria and added that the Tourism Minister had made a comprehensive and satisfactory presentation on vaccines and tourism related issues. He said his Russian counterparts had also taken notes in regards.

He went on to say, “Russian authorities are closely monitoring the process, the number of cases related to the closure in Turkey and the current gradual opening.

KALIN said, “The measures taken are continuing. As soon as possible, we agreed both on the arrival of the Russian vaccine in Turkey and on the steps to be taken in relation to the start of the tourist season, flights and the acceleration of the process. We have a calendar ahead of us in the near term. We will follow the steps that will be taken closely together.”
