Ramadan campaign in markets! PERDER announces: Prices will be fixed and discounts will be applied

During Ramadan, local markets in Istanbul will implement price fixing and discount campaigns. Faruk Güzeldere, Chairman of the Board of Istanbul PERDER, announced that in member markets, prices for thousands of products, especially basic food items, would be fixed throughout Ramadan, and discounts of up to 25% would be applied on some products.
Red meat prices fixed
Faruk Güzeldere stated in a written statement that, under the protocol made with the Meat and Milk Institution (ESK), red meat prices had been fixed from January until the end of Ramadan. He also mentioned that affordable meat was being delivered to households.
Discounts will be applied in 2,700 branches in Istanbul
To further enhance the prosperity of households, Güzeldere explained that a similar approach will be applied to other products, saying:
“In our member markets, we will fix prices on thousands of products, starting with basic food items, throughout Ramadan, and some products will have discounts of up to 25%. With our 66 member markets, nearly 2,700 branches, and approximately 43,000 employees in Istanbul, we can reach every household in the megacity through our discount and price fixing measures. You will see our campaign in the branches of our chain stores all around Istanbul. With full support from local chain markets, we will have special campaigns on many products throughout Ramadan and bring the abundance of the month to tables. We will continue to stand united with all our members in the fight against inflation.”
“We will protect consumers from opportunism”
Güzeldere emphasized that they will protect consumers from opportunistic price hikes during Ramadan, saying.
“From legumes to pasta, soup groups to flour, from cooking oils to canned goods, from tomato paste to sauces, from baking ingredients to durable dairy products, from deli items to dates, from carbonated drinks to snacks, from tea to coffee varieties, from cleaning products to personal care items, from diapers to detergents, and to kitchenware, we have fixed the prices on hundreds of categories and thousands of products until the end of Ramadan. We urge our consumers not to force their budgets by disrupting the supply-demand balance, thinking that the campaigns are temporary. Since there is no stock issue with the products for which we have applied price fixing and discounts, they can shop with peace of mind and spread their shopping over several days. Our campaigns will continue every day, and customers will be able to see the discounted product prices on the shelves daily.”
