According to the market, inflation will come close to 70 percent in April

Market expectations for inflation, which saw a rise above 60 percent in March, are close to 70 percent. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) has announced official annual inflation of 61.14 percent in March. The figure is close to 150 percent, according to independent research institutions.

According to a Bloomberg HT survey, market participants expect annual inflation of 68.3 percent in April.

The monthly expectation of the 16 institutions surveyed is 6.2 percent.

Year-end inflation expectation of institutions in March-April survey period increased to 55 percent for April whereas it was 45 percent in March period.

Inflation for April will be announced on May 5.
