AK Party Spokesperson Delivers Strong Message to PKK: “We Are on the Brink of a New Era”
Following the Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting of the AK Party, Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik addressed the media with key statements on current developments. The meeting was held under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is also the head of the AK Party.

Highlighting the government’s firm stance in the fight against terrorism, Çelik expressed a clear expectation that the PKK will soon lay down its arms. “The dissolution of the PKK would mark a significant turning point for Turkey,” he stated. Çelik emphasized that this process is advancing based on the state’s core principles, without any negotiations or concessions. He underlined that the goal of a “Terror-Free Turkey” is not merely a slogan, but a key state policy.

Çelik also pointed out the presence of internal and external provocations during this sensitive period. Reaffirming the government’s unwavering stance, he stressed that the direction of this process is shaped solely by the values of the Turkish nation and the determination of the state. “This is not a bargaining process — our compass is the will of our people and the integrity of our state,” he concluded.
