AKOM warns of heavy torrential rain for Istanbul
The Disaster and Coordination Center (AKOM) said in a statement that Istanbul would come under the influence of intermittent downpours and thunderstorms starting at night.
According to the evaluations made by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) AKOM in line with the current meteorological satellite and radar data, heavy rains are expected to reach Istanbul in the first hours of Monday.
The forecast is intermittent showers and thunderstorms will be experienced across the province starting tonight (03.00). Precipitation is expected to increase its effect of 06.00 from tomorrow morning and to be effective in the form of heavy showers and thunderstorms, including 18.00 local, until the evening hours.
