AKOM warns: the strongest snowfall is coming to Istanbul after 1987

According to the data published by the General Directorate of Meteorology, the strongest snowfall after 1987 is gradually approaching our country. According to forecasts published by AKOM (of Istanbul Municipality), up to 12 kilograms of snow per square meter will fall on Sunday in Istanbul.

Turkey is preparing for a cold wave coming from Siberia. According to the data contained in the General Directorate of Meteorology and AKOM’s warnings, snowfall will cover Istanbul and most of the country starting from Wednesday.

IT WILL LAST FOR DAYS

The snowfall, which will begin to show a strong impact starting Thursday, March 10, will remain in Turkey until Monday March 14, according to data released by the General Directorate of Meteorology. The cold weather wave will affect the whole of Turkey for a long time.
