Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy has announced that a new legal regulation regarding daily rental homes will be introduced in October.

It has been announced that a new legal regulation will be implemented concerning daily rental homes, which have become increasingly prevalent in recent times and are said to reduce the number of overnight stays in hotels.

In an interview with Turkish media, Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy provided information that regulations regarding daily rental homes would be introduced in October.

The following was shared on a journalist’s social media account, “I just spoke with Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, and he said, ‘In October, there will be a legal regulation for Airbnb-style rentals. From now on, not everyone will be able to use their home as an Airbnb. The practice in the world will be the same as ours.'”

This suggests that there will be a legal framework introduced in October to regulate daily rental homes, similar to Airbnb-style accommodations.
