According to survey conducted by the Metropoll Research, almost all party supporters agree on the issue of “foreign powers wanting to divide Turkey.”

Turkey’s Pulse September survey was conducted with a total of 1,807 people in 28 provinces from September 16 to 20, 2023. In the survey titled “What kind of country do you live in?” the question “Do you live in a country that foreign powers are trying to divide?” was also asked.

The percentages of participants who answered ‘Yes’ to this question were as follows:

AKP: 62.5%
CHP: 62.7%
MHP: 63.4%
Good Party (İyi Parti): 59.5%
HDP: 51.1%
YRP: 79.1%
Victory Party (Zafer Partisi): 83.3%
TIP: 60%

After the results, Metropoll’s director, Özer Sencar, said the following from his account: “In other words, the widespread belief that foreign powers aim to divide Turkey is common regardless of political party or identity boundaries. When it comes to external threats, both the government and the opposition seem to be largely in agreement.”

This indicates that there is a widespread perception among supporters of various political parties that foreign powers have intentions to divide Turkey.
