New record: the number of Covid-19 cases per day exceeded 100 thousand

In the last 24 hours, 102,601 cases and 198 deaths were recorded. In one day, 452 thousand 173 Covid-19 tests were conducted, 87 thousand 562 people recovered. The number of cases is rising rapidly with the Omicron variant. On December 19, 2021, the daily Covid-19 cases, which dropped to 16,910, exceeded 20 thousand in a week, and at the end of the month they saw more than 40 thousand; on January 28, the record was renewed with 93,586.

“We have lived and seen together how the vaccine has reduced the devastating effects of Covid-19 in all areas of life,” Health Minister Fahrettin Koca wrote on his Twitter account.
