EMO warns: The real hike in electricity bills will be in February

President of the Chamber of Electrical Engineers (EMO) has said “The bills that made citizens protest, reflect December only. The bills will be much higher in February as they will reflect January consumption. They (the administration) has introduced the multi-stage tariff because they did not dare to implement a wholesale hike.”

While citizens complained about the heavy hike in the price of electricity, the President of the Chamber of Electrical Engineers Bülent Pala drew attention to the multi-stage tariff.

The president of EMO considered the increase of the low-wage level to 7 kilowatts as a positive step in daily use. He said, “The step taken is important. It is in the citizen’s favor to increase the daily use to 7 kilowatt-hours. 5 kilowatts was too little. We want the use of up to 230 kilowatts as a room to be free of charge. If they increased the daily limit to 7.5 kilowatt-hours, it would be close to what we wanted. They didn’t do it.”
