Water level in dams in Istanbul is below 50 percent

According to the data of the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (ISKI), the water level in the dams, which rose to a maximum of 89.68 percent this year, declined due to the temperatures in the summer months. The occupancy rate of the dams supplying water to Istanbul was measured as 49.85 percent.

When viewed individually, the occupancy rate of dams as of today is as follows: Alibeyköy 32.28,  Büyükçekmece 56.58 percent, Darlık 52.71 percent,  Elmalı 51.67 percent, Istrancalar 29.02, Ömerli 51.81 percent, Sazlıdere 48.75 percent, Terkos 52.05 percent etc.

The amount of precipitation falling on the dams this year is 639.42 kilograms per square meter. The dams and ponds that supply water to the city have an accumulation volume of 868 million 683 thousand cubic meters. However, the amount of water is at the level of 433 million cubic meters as of today.
