Earthquake in Turkey: loss of life reaches 6 thousand 234 on third day of great disaster
Two earthquakes with magnitude 7.7 and 7.6, the epicenter of which was Kahramanmaraş, destroyed the region where about 13.5 million people live in 10 provinces on the morning of February 6.

The struggle with the destruction caused by two earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 centered in Kahramanmaraş, continues. According to the latest official data announced, as of 06.15 today, 6 thousand 234 people lost their lives, 37 thousand 11 people were injured.
PRESIDENT ERDOGAN DECLARES STATE OF EMERGENCY
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that it had been decided to declare a state of emergency to cover the 10 cities hit by the earthquake (Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Adiyaman, Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa, Malatya, Kilis, Gaziantep, Osmaniye and Adana) and to continue for 3 months.
According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) data, a total of 5,775 buildings were destroyed in the earthquake, and a total of 11,302 buildings were reported to have been ‘destroyed’ along with those destroyed.
