Announcement from the Governor of Istanbul: Private cars not allowed in traffic until 13.00

Istanbul Governor Ali YERLIKAYA has announced that private vehicles will not be allowed to enter traffic until 13:00 today due to the snowfall and icing that has been effective in the city.

Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya shared the following information in a statement on Twitter:

“Dear Istanbulites, according to the latest meteorological reports received, adverse weather conditions are continuing in our city. Therefore, until 13:00 today, private vehicles other than public transport and off-duty vehicles will not be allowed to enter traffic. The restriction on the entry and exit of vehicles from the Anatolian and Thracian directions to our city will continue. The public will be informed about the developments. Thank you for your patience and understanding”
