Due to the February 6 earthquakes centered in Maraş, some historical artifacts in the Hatay Archaeological Museum were brought to Kırşehir and taken under protection. The historical artifacts put in the museum’s storage will be examined by experts from Ankara and Hatay.

Some historical artifacts kept in boxes in the Hatay Archaeological Museum were placed in 150 sealed boxes under the coordination of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism against the possible earthquake risk and brought to the Kırşehir Museum.

On the other hand, Kırşehir Governor Hüdayar Mete Bukhara, in a statement from his social media account, said the following about the protection of artifacts:

“After the earthquake disaster, some of the artifacts found in the Hatay Archaeological Museum were transferred to the Kırşehir Museum by our Ministry of Culture and Tourism for preservation. The relics of Hatay Archaeological Museum are in safe hands.”
