BioNTech’s cancer vaccine to provide significant improvement in skin and colon cancer treatment
Germany’s BioNTech company owned by Turkish scientists Özlem Türeci and Uğur şahin, has also made an important development in the treatment of skin and colon cancer after their success with Covid-19 vaccine.
The development in question was published in the latest issue of the scientific journal” Journal Science Translational Medicine”.
Accordingly, significant improvements were made in the treatment of colon and skin cancer as a result of testing on mice decontamination of the molecule “messenger RNA” (mRNA), which carries genetic instructions between cells.
Scientists conducted research to develop special mRNA cocktail
BioNTech scientists who conducted the research developed a special cocktail of mRNA, which allowed cells to produce four molecules that fight cancer. As a result, colon and skin cancer tumors were suppressed in mice.
Before the Covid-19 vaccine, Turkish scientists had already been working to find a cure for cancer through mRNA, for a long time.
