HOT WEATHER IN TURKEY

Summer is in full swing, and the heat is ramping up fast! According to the General Directorate of Meteorology, much of Türkiye will bask under clear, sunny skies today. Northeastern regions may see some partial clouds and isolated showers—especially inland areas of Trabzon and Rize—but for most of the country, it’s going to be dry and hot. Temperatures are expected to remain above seasonal averages, and winds will blow mostly from the north, staying light to occasionally moderate.

Here’s the regional breakdown of the weather, including special highlights for Muğla and Antalya:

Marmara Region: The Marmara region will enjoy a classic summer day with minimal clouds and plenty of sunshine.

Edirne: a touch hotter at 34°C
Istanbul: clear skies and a high of 30°C

Aegean Region (Including Muğla): It’s a hot and sunny day for the Aegean, with no clouds in sight.

Izmir: turning up the heat at 36°C

Muğla
: also at 36°C, with dry and clear skies—ideal beach weather, but stay cool and hydrated

Mediterranean Region (Including Antalya): The Mediterranean is heating up fast, and humidity may make it feel even warmer.

Antalya: blazing sunshine and a high of 38°C—perfect for sun lovers, but intense if you’re out for too long

Central Anatolia: A calm and bright day in the heartland of Türkiye.

Ankara: sunny with a high of 31°C
Eskişehir: a little warmer at 32°C
Konya: comfortably warm at 30°C

Western Black Sea: Mild and sunny conditions dominate here, making for a pleasant summer day.

Bolu: 29°C with clear skies
Düzce: warming up to 30°C
Sinop: a coastal breeze and a high of 28°C

Central and Eastern Black Sea: Mostly sunny, but the far east may get a mix of weather later in the day.

Eastern Anatolia: It’s a sunny and cool start to the day, warming up in the afternoon.

Kars: slightly cooler at 24°C
Malatya: climbing to 34°C under clear skies

Southeastern Anatolia: One of the hottest regions today—expect sweltering conditions.

Diyarbakır: blazing at 38°C
Mardin: sunny and hot at 34°C

In short: the whole country is warming up quickly, with many cities pushing toward or even hitting 40°C. If you’re in Muğla or Antalya, the weather is stunning but intense—ideal for the beach, but be mindful of the sun. Wherever you are, take precautions in the heat: stay hydrated, avoid the midday sun, and wear sunscreen if you’re heading outdoors.
