Cappadocia enjoys visitor influx in first 7 months of 2023

In the first 7 months of 2023, 2 million 356 thousand 49 domestic and foreign tourists visited the museums and ruins in the Cappadocia region, which is one of the important tourism centers of Turkey.

Cappadocia region, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, continues to welcome visitors from abroad and from home in its museums and ruins with its “fairy chimneys, natural rock formation valleys” and unique beauties.

2 Million 356 thousand 49 people visited the archaeological sites such as Goreme Open Air Museum, Kaymakli and Derinkuyu underground city, Açıksaray archaeological site, Dark Church, El Nazar church, especially Zelve archaeological site, museums and archaeological sites in Cappadocia region in the first 7 months of 2023.

Göreme Open Air Museum took its place at the top of the most visited tourist centers with 1 million 4 thousand 666 people. 943 thousand 669 people visited the Zelve ruins in the second place, 502 thousand 137 local and foreign tourists visited the Kaymaklı underground city in the third place.
