Fethiye Municipality opens CALIS Public Beach for service

Fethiye Municipality has opened a public beach in Çalış after Akmaz and Karaot. Fethiye Mayor Alim Karaca said, “We are not working for profit, we are working for the people.” Fethiye Municipality made the 10-acre land it rented on the Calis beach from the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization a public beach. A public beach was built on the 4-year leased land with wooden materials appropriate for Çalış.

Inflation is increasing every day in Turkey and the people are experiencing difficult days with new hikes coming in. In Fethiye citizens prefer affordable places due to the exorbitant prices of private enterprises in the areas where the sea will be entered. A new one has been added to the Akmaz and Karaot Beaches operated by Fethiye Municipality. Calis Public Beach, built by Fethiye Municipality, was also opened for service. Inhabitants living here can get tea for 3 TL, toast for 30-40 TL and cold drinks for 20 to 30 TL at Calis public beach. People can get sunbeds for only 25 tl.

Fethiye Mayor Alim Karaca said, “We are not working for profit, we are working for the people! Since the day we took office, we have eliminated the bad image on Koca Calis beach, where we have been fighting great struggles to provide it to the service of our people. We won the tender for Koca Calis beach for our people as a result of great efforts. Conclusion: We have opened Calis Public Beach to the service of our citizens. We will continue to provide services to our citizens at affordable prices, just like our other businesses. May it be good for our Fethiye and Calis.”
