Chairman of TURSAB says “We are expecting 10 million early bookings”

Firuz BAGLIKAYA, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Travel Agencies of Turkey, and Mete Vardar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jolly Tour, have made evaluations about Turkey’s tourism prospects for the year 2022.

Stating that the average per capita expenditure in 2019 was around $ 660, and it has risen above $ 800 in 2021, TÜRSAB Chairman said, “Reservations are continuing from almost everywhere, especially in the UK, Germany, Ukraine, Russia. Next season looks much better than this year. We expect around 10 million early bookings in 2022. A person who wants to take a vacation in July / August, can get an advantage of up to 70 percent if he makes a reservation today.”

Chairman of a prominent tourism company on the other hand said the sector had gained significant experience in the epidemic process and that mobility in tourism had been achieved thanks to the domestic market. He said, “The expectation about the upcoming season is very high. That is why early booking is extremely important. Early booking will give you an advantage not only in price, but also in location
