CHP leader KILICDAROGLU: If the six-party table agrees, I am ready to run for president

CHP Chairman Kemal KILICDAROGLU said that he could become a presidential candidate if a compromise was reached at the “six-party table” (formed by opposition group parties).

The opposition’s discussions about who will be the presidential candidate have been revolving around the names of Mansur Yavaş, Ekrem Imamoğlu, Meral Akşener and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu for a long time.

One of the prominent names in the polls has been MANSUR YAVAS (mayor of Ankara) IMAMOGLU (mayor of Istanbul) and the opinion that “mayors should continue with their current work” stands out in the CHP group. IYI Party Leader Meral Akşener has been closing the door for a long time by repeating the statement “I am not a candidate for president, I will become prime minister”.

The most prominent name for months seems to be CHP Chairman Kemal KILICDAROGLU. According to the CHP staff who spoke to Diken, KILICDAROGLU wants the nomination and there is no objection to it within the party.
