In Austria, which imposed a curfew on non-vaccinators last week, authorities have stepped up measures and announced that they would enforce a curfew starting Monday.

The corona virus vaccine has been made mandatory in Austria, which will be the first country in Western Europe to enforce curfews. Austrian Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg who recently took office, also announced that the corona virus vaccine would be mandatory as of February 1, 2022.

Schallenberg said at a news conference that the strict isolation measures would initially last for 10 days, with a maximum of 20 days adding “Many of us have not shown sufficient unity and togetherness. I ask for your help. Follow the precautions, let’s take our precautions for a maximum of 20 days for the safe passage of the Christmas period.”
