Corendon Airlines issues statement regarding airplane with a burst front tire upon landing at Alanya Gazipaşa Airport

Yesterday, a Corendon Airlines aircraft from Cologne landed at Alanya Gazipaşa Airport with burst front tires. While no one was injured in the incident, passengers were evacuated from the aircraft.

Today, Corendon made the following statement regarding the matter: “We are sharing the latest update regarding the landing of Corendon Airlines’ Boeing 737-800 aircraft with registration 9H-TJF, operating flight CAI1031 from Cologne to Alanya/Gazipaşa on the morning of yesterday (May 9, Thursday), the burst of tires upon landing and the subsequent safe parking of the aircraft on the runway without any injury or health issues to our passengers and flight crew:

The aircraft has been safely moved to a parking position.

“Inspections on both the runway and the aircraft have been completed by Corendon Airlines’ Technical Team, Alanya Gazipaşa Airport’s Technical Team, officials from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, and State Airports Authority.

The runway was reopened to aircraft traffic last night. With the runway open for landings and take-offs, Corendon Airlines’ operations at Alanya Gazipaşa continue as planned. Updated information is being provided by Corendon Airlines Headquarters.”
