Court in Sweden overturns police ban on burning Qur’an

5 people were detained for planning terrorist acts in connection with the burning of the Koran in January. On the other hand, a court reversed the decision of the police to ban the burning of the Qur’an, in February.

Earlier, the Stockholm police had made a statement saying that a person who applied to burn the Koran in front of the Iraqi Embassy in Stockholm had not been allowed, sharing following; “Qur’an burning incidents have increased and considering that they may increase in the future, developments that would harm Swedish interests in the short term have been evaluated and decisions have been taken accordingly”.

DANISH PARTY LEADER HAD BURNED THE KORAN IN SWEDEN

On January 21 in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, Danish far-right Strict Direction Party leader Rasmus Paludan burned the Holy Quran in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm, and no one was allowed to approach Paludan during the action, which was carried out under crowded police protection.
