The manufacturer of a Covid-19 vaccine developed against the coronavirus pandemic, which has caused the deaths of millions of people worldwide, has made a confession for the first time regarding its side effects.

The producer of one of the vaccines developed against the coronavirus, which emerged in the last weeks of 2019 in the Chinese city of Wuhan and quickly turned into a global pandemic, made an official statement to the authorities for the first time about the side effects of the vaccine.

AstraZeneca, which produces the Covid-19 vaccine in partnership with Oxford University in the UK, responded to a lawsuit filed over deaths and severe injuries caused by the vaccine.

By acknowledging for the first time in court documents that the coronavirus vaccine may cause a rare side effect, AstraZeneca made a move that could pave the way for millions of dollars in legal penalties.

The pharmaceutical company, along with Oxford University, is being tried in a mass lawsuit over claims that the vaccine has caused deaths and serious injuries in dozens of cases.

Lawyers argue that the vaccine has caused a devastating side effect in a small number of families

The first case was filed last year in April 2021 by Jamie Scott, a father of two, who suffered permanent brain damage after experiencing a blood clot and brain hemorrhage that hindered his ability to work after receiving the vaccine.

While AstraZeneca denies the allegations, it acknowledged in a legal document submitted to the High Court in February that the Covid vaccine “can very rarely cause TTS.” The mentioned TTS is a condition that causes blood clotting and low platelet count in humans.”
