Data Breach at SunExpress
SunExpress has warned its customers that their email addresses have fallen into the hands of scammers.
Cyber attackers gained access to the SunExpress system through an executive’s account and obtained 596,000 email addresses belonging to customers. These addresses were targeted with phishing emails containing fraudulent links.
Regarding the incident, SunExpress reported to the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) that the breach affected only email addresses.
Out of the 596,659 email addresses targeted, 249,668 belonged to customers, while the sources of the remaining 346,905 addresses are unknown. (turizmajansi.com)
