It is reported that crucial normalization steps are to be taken after June 3. Following the Ramadan feast, plans are made to open parks and beaches again and lift entry-exit ban to 15 cities including Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara, also taking into consideration case data regarding Covid-19.

Entry-exit bans had been introduced to 30 metropolitan cities and Zonguldak a while ago within framework of Covid-19. With the transition to the new normal period, the travel ban was lifted, in 7 provinces and then in 9 provinces. In 15 provinces, including Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, the ban on entry and exit was extended until 3 June.

In these cities, where the population density is high, steps will be taken next week judging on new cases and death numbers. Bans on entry and exit in 15 cities are scheduled to be lifted on June 3rd, taking into account data and recommendations from the Science Board. In case of a negative course in the spread of the virus, provincial bans may continue. In these cities, prohibitions may be imposed by the Provincial Public Health Boards on a provincial, district or regional basis.

As part of the measures, parks, gardens, beach bands, promenade and ruins, picnic areas, which are closed to citizens will also be reopened. According to the data in the provinces and the spread of the epidemic, citizens will be able to use these areas by wearing masks and following social distance rules. In case of Risk, temporary bans may be placed on these areas by Provincial Administration and Pandemic boards.

In the post-coronavirus era, called “new normal”, many things in our lives will be different. In this direction, new arrangements are being made in social areas where people come together. A similar practice was launched at the world-famous Konyaaltı beach of Antalya and the period of sunbathing by laying towels on the beach or going to the sea all free, is now history.

In Konyaaltı Beach for instance, 9 square meters of wood was created by wrapping around the beach with ropes. Those coming to the beach will be allowed to use sunbeds prepared for 2, 3 or singles. The latter will be made available for families only. The social distance rule will also be applied between each umbrella group with 2.5 m gaps.
