Demand for Free Drinking Water at All Airports
It has been stated that the exorbitantly priced bottled waters at airports cause inconvenience to passengers, and a request has been made for free drinking water fountains (Sebil) to be installed in terminals and open areas.
According to the news in Cumhuriyet, Evrim Rızvanoğlu, Istanbul Deputy of the Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA) and Head of Nature Rights and Environmental Policies, made a request on social media for free drinking water fountains to be installed at all airports.

Making a statement as “We demand free drinking water fountains for all our airports,” Rızvanoğlu shared a video sent by a friend. Rızvanoğlu stated the following in her statement on social media: “This video came from my friend. The location is the airport in the capital of Thailand, Bangkok. Passengers can drink water from these fountains placed in different parts of the airport. Without having to pay, without creating plastic waste. Water is the most basic human right. All our citizens should be able to use this right at all airports in Turkey.”
