Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor: “We are working to make Denizli a tourism brand”

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu stated that they were working to make Denizli a tourism brand that can rival Antalya.
The mayor emphasized that the city had a broad tourism potential that is not limited to Pamukkale alone, offering 12 different types of tourism, including ancient cities, natural beauties, and thermal resources.
Among the city’s goals are to extend the duration of tourists’ stays and increase per capita spending to raise tourism revenue by an additional 250 million euros.
Çavuşoğlu highlighted Denizli’s importance, particularly for health and faith tourism, noting that President Erdoğan’s invitation to the Pope to visit the city could be a significant opportunity for faith tourism.
The mayor also argued that Pamukkale should benefit more from tourism revenue for the city and mentioned plans to collaborate with the Ministry on this issue.
