Did Tarkan take money for his Izmir concert?
Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer, who was hosted by journalist Ismail Küçükkaya on Halk TV, answered the question about how much Tarkan was paid for his extraordinary concert in Izmir on Izmir’s liberation anniversary.
Replying to said question SOYER said “Not a kurus went into Tarkan’s pocket from the concert, he donated all the money.”
On September 9, the 100th anniversary of Izmir’s liberation day Tarkan gave a free folk concert within the scope of the events organized by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. The concert had been on the agenda for days… One thing many wanted to know about the concert was the fee Tarkan was paid.
Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer, made a statement on this issue on Ismail Küçükkaya’s program on HalkTV.
Upon the question “Did Tarkan take no money” forwarded by KUCUKKAYA, Tunç Soyer said “Not a kurus will not enter Tarkan’s pocket. He’s so magnanimous. He will spend the fee he is supposed to receive for charity. We are talking about whether he should build a dormitory or a nursery.”
