The number of legal proceedings for credit card debts in Turkey approach 1 million in 7 months
The number of people who have incurred legal proceedings due to credit card debts reach 966 thousand people in January July period. In the same period last year, 741 thousand people were subject to legal proceedings.
The number of people who have incurred legal proceedings due to personal loan or personal credit card debt has increased.
The number of people who experienced legal proceedings due to personal credit card debt in January – July period, was 538 thousand. The number of people in trouble with legal proceedings due to personal loan debt was 659 thousand in the same period.

In January – July 2022, the number of people involved in legal proceedings due to personal loan or personal credit card debt was 966 thousand people.
On the other hand, according to data by Risk Center, receivables to be liquidated in individual retail loans including credit cards became 31.8 billion TL as of July 2022 with an increase of 48 percent compared to the previous year.
