Istanbul is getting a new metro line. Pendik-Sabiha Gokcen metro, which is expected to serve 1 million 200 thousand passengers a day, opens today at 16.00 with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu said that with the opening of the line, Kadıköy could be reached in 45 minutes from the airport. He also noted following; “Transportation to Sabiha Gökçen Airport will be fast and easy. We are putting another signature on the history with our project.”

Pendik-Sabiha Gökçen Airport metro, which is expected to serve 1 million 200 thousand passengers per day, is opening at 16.00 today.

NEW METRO LINE IN ISTANBUL

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu visited the metro line and even shared following details about it: “We continue to work 24/7 for Istanbul on the 103.3 km 7 line, including the Pendik-Tavşantepe-Sabiha Gökçen Airport metro line, which we will open together on Sunday. Our line, which starts from Pendik Tavşantepe and passes through Fevzi Çakmak, Şeyhli, Yayalar, Kurtköy stations and reaches Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, is 7.4 kilometers long.”
