Diplomatic crisis between Gambia and UK: “don’t let older female tourists come to the country for young men”

The West African country of Gambia and the United Kingdom are said to be facing an issue nowadays: The “old female tourist” crisis… Reacting to the elderly British female tourists having love affairs with young men in Gambia, the country’s administration announced that they wanted “quality tourists” by saying, “Please don’t come for a young man, you are defaming our name”.

In recent years, the efforts of a large number of elderly, retired British female tourists to go to Gambia to “find love” have created a crisis between the West African country and the UK…

The Gambian government has called for British female tourists targeting young men not to come to the country. Institutions and organizations authorized in tourism in the country where poverty is at a high stage have taken action to attract quality tourists to the country.

”DON’T COME TO THE COUNTRY FOR SEX”

The British media  made the following comment: “After decades of sex-crazed grandmothers coming to the country to try to find young men in poverty, the authorities have taken action.”. It was also recalled that middle-aged and elderly British women tourists went to Gambia, a former British colony, through tour packages in the 1990s.
