Economy in Turkey: US dollar reaches its peak at 28.80 TRY

While the markets were open, the dollar prices reached the highest level at 28.8062 TRY, and the Euro prices also set a new record. Yesterday, the dollar prices were moving around 28.7599 TRY at the closing time of the Turkish markets. The new day started at 28.7641 TRY. The exchange rate rose to 28.8062 TRY after the opening, reaching the highest level seen while the markets were open. As of 13:34, the dollar was moving at 28.8019 TRY with a 0.22% increase.

Last Friday, while the Turkish markets were closed, the dollar reached a historic record level of 28.93 on the international markets.

New Record in Euro/TRY

Euro prices reached a new record level, rising to 31.6460 TRY. At the moment, the Euro is at 31.5819 TRY with a 0.37% increase. Meanwhile, the British pound is trading at 36.1594 TRY.

The decline in the dollar index continues after the U.S. inflation data came in below expectations. The dollar index is continuing its movement below the 104 level and is currently at 103.30 with a 0.09% decrease. The Euro/dollar exchange rate is currently moving around 1.0949.
