Earthquake in Turkey: number of loss of lives in earthquakes increases to 45 thousand 968
The number of people who lost their lives in the Kahramanmaraş-based earthquakes increased to 45 thousand 968.
On February 6, two earthquakes occurred in Kahramanmaras, the first with a magnitude of 7.7 and the second with a magnitude of 7.6. The earthquakes, the epicenters of which were determined as Pazardzhik and Elbistan, also shook Hatay, Gaziantep, Osmaniye, Malatya, Adana, Diyarbakir, Sanliurfa, Adiyaman and Kilis.
Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu said, “The number of our citizens and earthquake victims who have lost their lives in wrecks and hospitals so far is 45 thousand 968. We have 4 thousand 267 Syrians among them.”
