Economy in Turkey: Automotive sector breaks export record in March

It was reported that Turkey’s automotive industry had broken a historical record on a monthly basis with exports of $ 3.3 billion in March. Foreign sales of the sector increased by 22.8 percent in March, compared to the same month last year and reached 3.3 billion dollars.

The automotive sector broke a historical record in exports in March on a monthly basis.

According to the statement made by the Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters Association (OIB), the Turkish automotive industry’s exports in March amounted to 3.3 billion dollars, an increase of 22.8 percent compared to the same period last year. The share of the automotive industry, which ranks first in Turkey’s foreign sales, was also realized as 13.9 percent of total exports of the country.

In the first three months of the year, the exports of the automotive sector increased by 15.8 percent and reached 8 billion 619 million dollars.
