Economy in Turkey: Budget shows a deficit of 47 billion Turkish liras in March

Turkey’s central government budget revenues amounted to 286 billion 821 million liras in March, expenditures were 334 billion 44 million liras. Budget showed 47.2 billion liras deficit in March and 250 billion liras deficit in January-March .

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance announced the results of the budget implementation for March. Accordingly, in March, budget revenues increased by 83.9 percent compared to the same month last year to 286 billion 821 million liras, while budget expenditures increased by 48.5 percent to 334 billion 44 million liras.

January March budget revenues increased by 31.9 percent compared to the same period last year to 794 billion 728 million liras, budget expenditures increased by 82.7 percent to 1 trillion 44 billion 753 million liras in the period from January to March.
