Economy in Turkey: Increase in interest rates for TL deposit continues

According to the Central Bank data, the interest rate applied to TL deposit accounts with a maturity of up to three months has reached 40 percent.

according to the Central Bank data, in the week of May June 26, the average three-month (31-92 days) interest rate on TL deposit accounts increased to 33.88 percent and in the week of June 2 it increased to 37.39 percent.

The rise also continued during the week of June 9. The three-month interest rate average was 39.42 percent.

Banking sources on the other hand say that the interest rate on TL deposits rose to 47 percent last week.
