Economy in Turkey: Latest currency exchange rates as of March 5th

The dollar started the day at levels around 31.60 Turkish Lira and rose to as high as 31.67 in international markets during the time when Turkish markets were closed.

The Euro is currently trading at 34.3197 Turkish Lira, showing a slight increase of 0.03%.

Euro/dollar exchange rate didn’t show much change today after a 0.14% increase, trading at 1.0850 dollars.

The Turkish Lira has been experiencing a regular decline in value, accelerating slightly over the past two sessions. The Lira has lost 1% of its value over the last three days, depreciating somewhat faster compared to previous days.

There are no major macroeconomic data releases scheduled for today. However, attention will be on the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey’s (TCMB) inflation assessment for February, which will be published at 10:00, as well as the real effective exchange rate index at 14:30.
