Economy in Turkey: Which investment tool performed best this week? Stocks, gold, dollars, or euros?

In the past week, Borsa Istanbul (BIST), euro, and gold saw losses, while the dollar experienced a slight gain.

– Borsa Istanbul (BIST): The BIST 100 index decreased by 6.83%, closing the week at 9,109.34 points, after seeing a low of 8,850.42 and a high of 9,757.93 points.

– Gold: The price of 24-carat gold in the Grand Bazaar dropped by 0.14% to 2,919 TL per gram, while the price of a Republic gold coin fell by 0.29% to 19,994 TL. The price of a quarter gold coin also declined by 0.24% to 5,017 TL.

– Dollar: The US dollar increased by 0.28%, reaching 34.2530 TL.

– Euro: The euro declined by 1.58% to 37.6180 TL.

Investment funds lost 2.05%, and pension funds dropped by 2.93% this week. Among investment fund categories, “money market” funds performed best, gaining 0.92%.
