PRESIDENT ERDOGAN SPEAKING

In a recent speech at the AKP’s “From Our Essence to the Future” event, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed key issues surrounding his party and Turkey’s future. He mentioned that the next general elections were about four years away, criticizing the opposition for focusing on internal conflicts and power struggles instead of serving the country.

Erdoğan specifically targeted former CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, accusing him of using divisive rhetoric and attempting to polarize society. According to Erdoğan, Kılıçdaroğlu’s approach is hindering the normalization of Turkey’s political environment, despite the government’s efforts to promote dialogue and lower tensions between political factions.

Speaking about the AKP’s upcoming 8th Ordinary Congress, Erdoğan emphasized that this congress would serve as a platform for renewal and rejuvenation within the party. He highlighted the importance of introducing new, capable, and devoted individuals into the party’s ranks, noting that while leadership roles may change, the party’s mission will continue.

Erdoğan also commented on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, asserting Turkey’s unwavering support for Gaza and condemning Israel’s actions. He pointed out that Turkey had been the only country imposing economic measures against Israel while providing significant aid to Gaza. He framed groups like Hamas and Hezbollah as pretexts used by Israel to justify its actions, arguing that the region’s borders are being redrawn with violence, and warning that if Israel’s aggression continues unchecked, it could lead to further instability.

Finally, Erdoğan reiterated Turkey’s steadfast position on the Palestinian cause, stating that the country remained committed to its values and would continue to advocate for Palestine both at home and on international platforms like the United Nations.
