Energy Market Regulatory Authority announces increase of 25 percent in electricity prices for residential subscribers

Electricity prices have been raised by 25% for residential subscribers, 15% for public and private services, 10% for industrial users, and 12.4% for agricultural activities.

According to the statement from the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), the electricity price for residential subscribers has been increased by 25%.

“Due to the increase in electricity production and distribution costs, the final electricity retail sales prices have been raised by 25% for the residential subscriber group, 15% for the public and private services sector subscriber group, 10% for the industrial subscriber group, and 12.4% for the agricultural activities subscriber grou

With this increase, the amount to be paid for a residential subscriber with a consumption of 100 kWh of electricity will be 259.04 TL.

Additionally, based on the wholesale natural gas prices announced by BOTAŞ on their website: there is an average increase of 20% for industrial consumers and 24.2% for electricity generation plants in the final natural gas sales prices.

The new tariffs will be effective as of April 5, 2025.
