Erdogan (regarding approval in Nato): If necessary steps not taken we’ll freeze process

After the cabinet meeting realized in Turkey today, President Erdogan made some very important statements.

In a statement regarding Turkey’s approval on membership of Sweden and Finland, the President shared following: “On June 27, we attended the NATO Meeting to represent our country. We made it very clear that NATO’s enlargement policy should be at the point of our country’s sensitivities.

We shared our conditional approval for the membership of Sweden and Finland with the members, upon the acceptance of our conditions. If the necessary steps are not taken, we will freeze the process.

We see that Sweden is not providing a good picture (impression). As Turkey, our position is very clear, they will know the rest themselves (the rest is up to them).
