Erdogan will meet with directors of US companies to include Microsoft & Google
President Erdoğan will meet with 30 business people who are directors of US companies located in Turkey, on 19 September 2018. It is reported that companies such as Microsoft and Google are among said group.
President Erdoğan had earlier invited global investors to Turkey and added “Those who invest in Turkey today will turn out to be most profitable tomorrow. Big investors will now be able to deal with the Presidency directly” (meaning process will run much more smoothly).
At a time when the negative attitude displayed by TRUMP against Turkey and economic sanctions applied to this country have caused a considerable impact on the Turkish economy the meeting Erdoğan will have with concerned business people will no doubt contribute to future business relations between two countries.
Although US is not top of the list in terms of foreign countries with most companies established or located in Turkey, there are quite a few American companies – some with ownership of over 50 percent capital – operating in Turkey as listed below:
