President of BP Turkey says Turkey is one of the five strategic markets worldwide
Stump, British Petroleum’s Turkey President

 

Mr. Stump, British Petroleum’s Turkey President stated that Turkey was one of the 5 strategic markets in the world and they were determined to grow in this country. President Stump said they had full faith in Turkey and added “Every economy has short-term issues and Turkey will overcome them. We’re still here and we’re still growing. Geopolitical importance of Turkey is very high and we rely on its long-term potential”.

At a meeting held in Ankara by World Energy Council Mr. Stump stated that Turkey was located between energy sources and energy consumers and had great accumulation in the area of energy diplomacy.

Mr. Stumpl also pointed out that world markets could reach rich hydrocarbon resources in the Caspian through Turkey only and 2.5 percent of the world oil was carried through Turkish straits. He also added that 1 percent of world oil production was transported by Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline.

He went on to say; “This is a significant figure considering the world oil trade. For all these reasons Turkey has a strategic importance for us. We have full faith in Turkey”.
