Eskişehir is on alert as number of Covid-19 cases increases by 10-fold in 40 days

Mayor of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Yilmaz Buyukerşen announced that the number of cases in the city had increased 10 times in 40 days and warned citizens regarding masks, social distance and hygiene.

As Turkey experiences a large increase in corona virus cases throughout the country, Eskişehir Metropolitan Mayor warned citizens on his share on social media accounts.

Based on data provided by the Ministry of Health, the number of cases in Eskisehir was recorded as 358.90 in 100 thousand people, between 27 March and 2 April. The same  figure was 30.99 in 100 thousand people between 8 and 14 February which then went up to 235,25 between 20-26 March.

10-FOLD INCREASE IN 40 DAYS

The 40-day epidemic map of the Ministry of Health was shared on the account of the Metropolitan Municipality with the expression that read “the number of cases continues to increase in our city. For our health and loved ones, please follow the mask, distance and hygiene rules!”
